Recognize the incoming call
Your dashboard displays the assigned calledd caller ID before the transfer. The number stays the same across retries. Save it so you know which call to answer, and keep your phone nearby while the request is active.
Listen for EDD claimant intake
calledd transfers the call at EDD’s Paid Family Leave claimant-intake prompt. It does not claim that a representative is already speaking. The automated EDD system is expected to request your ECN, then your full name, before it moves you toward a representative who can discuss your case.
EDD can revise its phone system without notice. Always follow the instructions you actually hear. Never give personal information to calledd, and make sure the voice prompt identifies the EDD flow before entering or saying claim details.
Talk directly with EDD
After claimant intake, EDD controls the queue and any conversation with its staff. calledd cannot answer claim questions, change your case, guarantee a representative, or control a call that EDD disconnects. Its job is to put the right digits on the right line and hand the EDD call to you at the safest verified point.
